SHAPE OUR FUTURE WORKFORCE

Strengthen your business by investing in today’s youth.

The MassHire Berkshire Workforce Board recognizes the importance of engaging the business community in providing valuable work-based learning opportunities for youth, especially given the historically low youth employment rates. Research indicates a strong link between young adults’ work experiences and their academic and career success. As the lead agency for BERKSHIRE JOBS 4 YOUTH, the BWB invites employers to collaborate by offering various options, including hiring youth, providing internships, sponsoring activities like job-shadowing and workplace tours and offering advisory support. To streamline these efforts, the BWB has established a central resource hub connecting youth, businesses, high schools and the community, fostering partnerships between various sectors of the business community and educational and community organizations.
